Ten years ago, we had to deal with cancer in our family. It was a scary time for us, but because we had insurance, we had the ability to decide the best course of treatment. In a situation like that, having insurance isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. My family was fortunate, but what are we doing for Ohioans who work every day but can’t afford healthcare? How can we say our economy is great if citizens can’t afford to visit a doctor? We need to ensure every Ohioan can get the medical attention and treatment they need.
